Spring and summer brought unprecedented challenges to school districts across the country, and school nutrition programs have responded to the coronavirus pandemic in heroic ways to ensure that students and families have access to meals.
The Urban School Food Alliance stood with our member districts and those across the country in helping to make sure meals made it to kids and families, and we will continue to support our members. We will also share lessons on what works and resources for safe and innovative operations nationwide. Plus, we will continue to help raise awareness of the needs of all districts in the country as they work to serve their communities.
The 12 member districts of the Urban School Food Alliance provide 635 million meals annually to their 3.6 million students, providing them with the nutrition they need to grow and thrive. Your support will help make sure they can continue to meet the needs of their students no matter what this year brings.
