The Urban School Food Alliance congratulates former Secretary Tom Vilsack on his reappointment by President-elect Joe Biden as Secretary of Agriculture.
“Secretary Vilsack Is A Man Who Knows From Experience The Broad Reach Of The United States Department Of Agriculture And Is Prepared To Meet The Diverse Needs Of American Agriculture,” Said Dr. Katie Wilson, Executive Director Of Urban School Food Alliance. “He Has Been A Long-Time Supporter Of All Food Assistance Programs, Including School Lunch And School Breakfast, And Will Once Again Be A Champion For The Improvement And Expansion Of These Programs. The Alliance Looks Forward To Working With Him.”
Secretary Vilsack served as Secretary of Agriculture from 2009 until January 13, 2017. He also served as the 40th Governor of Iowa.
