Meet Dottie Arnold, MS, FCSA

Cooperative Agreement Administrator
Dottie Arnold, MS, BA, FCSA, is the Cooperative Agreement Administrator for the Urban School Food Alliance. She has an extensive background in project management, sustainable agriculture, and public health.
Prior to working for USFA she was a Project Coordinator for the State of Colorado. She also worked as a Project Coordinator for Centura Health’s USDA GUSNIP Grant, where she co-created a Produce Prescription program for primary care patients in Colorado. Additionally, she worked for the nationally renowned Opioid Task Force of Franklin County and the North Quabbin. There she managed budgets, assisted with community events and meetings, and supported various grant funded projects including a $2.4 million SAMHSA grant.
Her career has been greatly defined by her formal farming training and the many years she spent as a farmer. She has worked as a farm manager in Colorado, a vegetable production farmer in Massachusetts and the UK; and a farm educator in Massachusetts and California. She received her MS in Outdoor Education from the University of Edinburgh, BA in Latin American and Latino Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and Farmer Certification in Sustainable Agriculture (FCSA) from The Learn to Farm program at the Farm School.
