Meet Eva Yablonsky Smith
Board Director
Eva Yablonsky Smith is the Operations Manager of Culinary Services at Seattle Public Schools, where she focuses on improving school nutrition and promoting culinary diversity. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America Hyde Park, Eva’s diverse upbringing in New York, Spain, France, and Norway ignited her passion for global cuisines and their power to unite people. Her career began at The Ritz-Carlton where she honed her skills in high-end hospitality, followed by roles as Chef in a certified organic kitchen and Executive Chef at a vegan, gluten-free bakery, where she gained expertise in extremely specialized dietary needs. Before joining Seattle Public Schools, Eva managed food service and catering at a private K-12 school, developing nutritious meal programs tailored to students’ needs. Eva believes food is more than just sustenance, it’s an educational tool that introduces students to new cultures and fosters inclusivity. She is committed to providing students with high-quality, nutritious meals while expanding their culinary horizons. Additionally, Eva is a small business owner, running a catering company that offers a range of services providing memorable experiences.
