Meet Ryan Mikolaycik
Board Director
Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science degree, with Honors, in Hospitality Management from California Polytechnic University at Pomona, California. A native to Southern California, he moved to Texas in 2013 with his wife, Amber, and their two children, Ethan and Emily. He began working for the Food and Nutrition Services at Lake Travis ISD, where he improved recipe development and overall food quality within USDA school nutrition guidelines while partnering with local businesses and farmers. He also implemented new systems to improve food storage, reduce food waste and increase overall program efficiency and sustainability. In 2022, he accepted a larger role with Austin ISD as the Executive Director of Food Service and Warehouse where he continues to create a positive impact for the schools in Austin.
